When do Statue of Liberty Crown tickets become available, and when do spots come back?

No official page gives a set day or hour. The National Park Service's FAQ says Crown tickets are available "usually 3-4 months in advance"; another Park Service page says four to six months, depending on the time of year.

On September 24, 2026, New York dates were on sale through at least February 21, 2027, about five months ahead and as far as we look, but New Jersey dates only through early January 2027, about three months ahead. Later dates are grayed out, not shown at all or marked Sold Out: no Crown ticket is available for them right now.

Between June and September 2026, the one big batch we saw was for July 4, 2026: its Crown tickets went on sale all at once on June 19, about two weeks ahead.

At any hour. Midnight, New York time, was the busiest single hour: 14% of the times spots came back fell in that hour. More than half came back between 6 AM and 6 PM.

Spots come back when someone cancels at least 24 hours before departure, which Statue City Cruises refunds, or when a booking is started but never paid. They came back on every day we tracked, June to September 2026.

Check at midnight: partly true. It is the busiest hour for spots coming back on sold-out dates, but most come back at other times. New dates have no known release hour.

New dates on the 1st of the month: not confirmed. No official page names a release day. For returned spots, the 1st of July, August and September looked like any other day.

Check early in the morning: not the best time. For spots coming back, 4 AM to 7 AM was the quietest time of day, and 8 AM was still slow. From 9 AM to 6 PM, each hour was about as busy as the next.

Right up to the visit. About 4 in 10 came back three weeks or more before the visit, 15% between 8 and 20 days before, and about 4 in 10 in its final seven days alone. So a date that is sold out today can open up weeks later, and more often still in its last days.

From under an hour to a few hours, depending on how close the visit is. When the visit was 15 days or more away, half the returned spots were still open about three hours later. When the visit was within seven days, half were gone within 30 minutes, and 7 in 10 within the hour.

Your date isn't on sale yet. If it is grayed out or not shown on the official calendar, check the other departure point too: New York and New Jersey don't always open the same dates at the same time. Otherwise, check back regularly. If it sells out before you book, an alert can watch it for you.

Your date shows Sold Out. No Crown ticket is available for that day at that departure point right now. But spots come back: between July and late September 2026, when a date showed Sold Out a week ahead, spots came back later on 9 dates out of 10.

Checking by hand. Check at different times of day, at both departure points, and more often in the final week. Have your card ready, and every visitor's full name as on their photo ID: names are printed on Crown tickets and can't be changed.
