Last-minute Statue of Liberty Crown tickets: your real odds in the final week
Yes, there is still a chance, and it shrinks as the day gets closer. Between July and late September 2026, when a Crown date showed Sold Out three days ahead, spots came back before the visit day on more than 8 dates in 10. When a date still showed Sold Out at noon the day before, spots came back on more than 1 in 3.
Those spots go to whoever books first, online, so watch both departure points closely and be ready to book in one go.

Can you buy a Crown ticket on the day, at the ferry?
No. Statue City Cruises, the National Park Service's authorized seller, sells no same-day Crown tickets and keeps no waitlist. There are no ticket booths on Liberty or Ellis Island either. Crown tickets are sold only online or by phone, at 877-523-9849, and as far as we can tell the phone line sells from the same calendar as the website.
So the only last-minute way in is a spot that comes back on the official site.

What should you do this week?
Check both departure points, on every day you could go. The Crown is sold from New York (Battery Park) and from New Jersey (Liberty State Park), and each has its own calendar, so one can have spots on a day the other shows Sold Out.
In the final week, a spot that comes back is usually gone within the hour. Check as often as you can, or, if your visit is at least 3 days away, let an alert do it for you (see below). Keep the official booking page open. Have your card ready, and every visitor's full name spelled as on their photo ID: the person who pays collects the tickets in person, with that card.

Got a spot? The day before and the morning of
Plan to collect your tickets in person: Crown tickets are never emailed. The person who paid collects them at the Will Call window of the departure point you booked, with the card they used. Everyone in the group must be there, and each adult shows a photo ID that matches the name on their ticket.
The time on your ticket is when you can join the security screening line, not a ferry departure or your time in the Crown. Screening and boarding can take an hour or more at busy times, so be at the departure point 30 minutes before your ticket time (more in your visit, step by step). Last entry to the Crown is 3:30 PM (1:30 PM on Christmas Eve). There are no Crown visits on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
