Where to buy Statue of Liberty Crown tickets safely, and who can use them

Officially, only Statue City Cruises, whose ferries are also the only ones allowed to dock at the islands.

CityPASS and New York Pass holders still book the Crown separately, with Statue City Cruises.

Go to statuecitycruises.com directly, not through a search result that looks official. On the booking page, the Crown is called Crown Reserve.

For visits through December 31, 2026, Crown Reserve costs $26.30 per adult, $23.30 for seniors (62+) and military, and $17.30 for children aged 4 to 12, with fees, taxes and the round-trip ferry included. From January 1, 2027, the booking page shows $26.80, $23.80 and $17.80.

In Battery Park, the only place that sells authorized tickets is the Statue City Cruises office inside Castle Clinton. Sidewalk sellers don't offer genuine tickets. Some claim tickets are sold out, the office is closed or departures have moved, but Statue City Cruises never sends visitors to a bus or another place to board. Crown tickets are never sold for the same day and each carries a visitor's name, so one offered to you in the park won't get you in.

Online, check before you pay: the payment page should be on statuecitycruises.com, and the adult price should match the one above for your date. If either doesn't match, you are probably not buying from Statue City Cruises, which warns that tickets from unauthorized sources may not be valid. Also watch for harbor cruises sold as a Statue of Liberty visit: their boats never dock at the islands.

No. Names are printed on Crown tickets and can't be changed, and the purchase terms rule out exchange, resale and transfer. Crown tickets are never emailed: you collect them at the Will Call window of the departure point you booked (the visit, step by step).

The person who paid must come with the card they used; if you'll bring a different card, call before your visit. The whole group must be there to receive wristbands, and everyone 18 or older shows a government-issued photo ID that matches the name on their ticket.

Statue City Cruises allows four Crown tickets at most per household or cardholder, and one Crown reservation in any six-month period.

For a group larger than four, call Statue City Cruises before booking, and don't book anyone under someone else's name: only the person named on a ticket can use it. If that has already happened, call before your visit.

If someone drops out, their ticket can't go to another person. Canceling at least 24 hours before departure gets a full refund, but call before you cancel anything, because a released spot goes back on sale to anyone. Ask whether one ticket can be canceled without the rest of the order, and how a replacement can get a ticket: only one Crown reservation is allowed in six months.
